We welcomed two new guests to Casa di Maul this afternoon, Kimberly and Carolyn. As such, we did what has become standard with new arrivals on their first day in Italy, a brief walking tour of Vicenza. Classic Baroque architecture, completed in 1703.Facade of the Cattedrale di Santa Maria Annunciata in Central Vicenza. Destroyed in 1944 by the allied bombing campaign of Northern Italy, rebuilt in 1946, only the dome and facade remain original.Approaching the Basilica Palladiana, built between 1549-1614 by Andrea Palladio.The Torre Bissara, overlooking Piazza dei Signori dates from 1174.
